Emily Kempf, NP-C, is a nurse practitioner at Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery Associates. Emily earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks in 2009 and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau honor’s society. She received her master’s degree in nursing as a family nurse practitioner at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, in 2013. Prior to joining the team at HealthONE, Emily worked as a cardiovascular nurse in Boise, Idaho and in Aurora, Colorado. With 10 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine, Emily has focused her medical training on acute critical care management of pre and post-operative cardiothoracic surgical patients. Since joining Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery Associates in 2015, Emily has been instrumental in managing the care of patients with cardiovascular/cardiothoracic diseases and conditions. She is also the Program Coordinator for the Rocky Mountain Aneurysm and Bicuspid Aortic Valve Registry at HealthONE. Emily is a board-certified family nurse practitioner, a board-certified registered nurse and a board-certified cardiac-vascular nurse. Emily has also received a special certification in Cardiac Surgical-Advanced Life Support from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons. In her free time, Emily is an avid skier and traveler. Her most memorable travels have been to Africa and South America where she helped develop clinics for populations lacking access to care.
